DOAC Health Guest Index

A living research index of health-related guests who have appeared on The Diary of a CEO. This is a discovery map, not medical advice or an endorsement of every claim made on the podcast.

Status: foundation pass · Updated: 26 Sep 2026
Scope: medicine, nutrition, metabolism, gut health, sleep, neuroscience, longevity, exercise, mental health/psychology, women's/men's health, environmental health.

How to use this index

Each guest is tagged by domain, background, and a simple evidence lens:

  • Clinical / academic — established clinical or university/research role.
  • Research communicator — relevant scientific training/research communication; may not be a practising clinician.
  • Mixed / investigate claims — useful ideas, but individual claims should be checked against primary literature and clinical guidance.
  • Psychology / mental health — included when the work is clinically or health relevant rather than general motivation.

The evidence lens describes the kind of source, not whether everything a person says is correct.

Research backlog

This foundation list is deliberately not labelled “complete” yet. Next sweeps should:

  1. Crawl the full DOAC catalogue year by year and add every health-related guest.
  2. Record every full episode for repeat guests, not just “Moment” clips.
  3. Add episode date, title and direct source link.
  4. Verify professional credentials against institutional/professional sources.
  5. Add a claims ledger for useful but disputed/high-impact claims.
  6. Link primary papers, systematic reviews and clinical guidelines where a claim is worth keeping.
  7. Keep podcast claims separate from our own conclusions.

Research principle: podcast appearance is a discovery signal, not evidence. Follow interesting claims back to primary research, systematic reviews, professional guidance, and relevant clinical expertise.
